Wedding videographer cost in North Idaho depends on hours, travel, and how much editing goes into the film, and most videographers won’t post a number. We will. Our wedding films start at $1,500 for five hours of coverage, and most couples who add extras land somewhere above that. Here’s what that money pays for, what raises the price, and how to compare quotes from anyone you’re considering around Sandpoint, Bonners Ferry, or Coeur d’Alene.
What our $1,500 package includes
We’re based in Naples, Idaho, and our starting point is what we call the Story Package. It covers five hours on the wedding day and includes:
- A wedding film scored with original music
- An album of original songs written for you, released on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music
- Your love story, written out from an interview we do with the two of you
- A custom website that holds the film, the story, and the songs
- Drone footage, weather permitting
We deliver the film within two months of the wedding. Full details are on our wedding films page.
What changes a wedding videographer’s cost in North Idaho
These are the things that move the price, with us and with most videographers up here.
Hours of coverage
Five hours usually covers the ceremony, portraits, and the first part of the reception. If you want getting-ready footage through the last dance, you need more. We offer six to ten hours; ask us for a quote for your timeline.
Two locations
A ceremony at a church and a reception at a barn means packing up, driving, and setting up twice. We add $225 to $300 when the ceremony and reception are at separate venues.
Extra films
A separate first look film or a pre-wedding shoot is its own filming and its own edit. Each adds $600 to $900.
A deluxe or custom package
If you want more than the Story Package offers, a deluxe or custom package adds $750 to $1,500 depending on what you have in mind.
Travel
North Idaho is spread out, and travel is a real line item. We include the first 20 miles each way from Naples. Past that we charge the IRS mileage rate, and for weddings more than 100 miles away we add an overnight stay. We travel about 200 miles, which takes in Sandpoint, Coeur d’Alene, Spokane, and the Flathead Valley.
How to compare quotes
Two quotes with the same total can be very different deals. Ask every videographer the same questions:
- How many hours are you on site, and what does an extra hour cost?
- How long is the finished film, and when will we get it?
- Is the music licensed or original?
- Is drone footage included, and what happens if the weather is bad?
- What are the travel charges to our venue?
- How much is the deposit, and is it refundable?
Then watch a full film they made, not only a one-minute highlight. You’re paying for the edit as much as the filming.
